Gorilla Theatre Productions presented the classic Greek tragedy "THE LIBATION BEARERS" by
Aeschylus as the feature production in the 14th Annual Summer Solstice Greek Show for 2004. This
was the continuation of "AGAMEMNON" in the Orestia trilogy by Aeschylus.
Directed by James Dean Carter, this production featured a new original score composed and
performed by Daniel A. Doss. The performances were held outside near sunrise, just as the Greeks use
to perform their theatre. Lyrics were translated, and set to new original music.
Performances played at the Wheeler Ampitheatre, located at Volker and Oak in front of the
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
